Mindfulness means being fully aware of the present moment without the unusual judgements about what should or should not be happening. It involves the cultivation of a curious, heartful and compassionate relationship towards ourselves and our present moment experiences. Peer Recovery Coaches and Community Health Workers can benefit from incorporating mindfulness strategies into their daily routine as well as expose people served to mindfulness. The webinar will review simple mindfulness strategies that can be incorporated from a few minutes into daily routines. Resources and tools for personal practice and those that can be shared with persons served will be provided.
